I know Ferrari changed this thing 3 times on the 348. Did they use the same unit on the 94 and 95 spiders across the board? Is it the 2nd generation cast iron unit? I have to replace the seals on mine and I would rather order them before I pull them out, to save on downtime...Also, when re-bleeding the system, what is the recommended psi to set the clutch fluid line or will pressing the pedal automatically achieve that...I have a motive power bleeder for the car but I have no idea how to use the damn thing!

I don't have the answer, but I'm going through the same problem with Ricambi right now on my '92 348, production June '91. Daniel and I used the 89-93 online dwg to select P/N 139436 for the large slave seal ring. Turns out that one was right diameter, but not "thick" enough to fill the groove, by a longshot. The small ring off of the same diagram was fine.

My slave is all iron/steel, no aluminum (which Daniel asked). Daniel suggested 151822 off of the later 1993 online dwg., but I'm waiting to hear from him if this is thicker than the other part that did not fill the groove. My old seal was a little strange... like a crank main seal, without the inner spring circumferential spring. Don't think it was original.

Just ordered the same part number and had the same issue....part number 139436 does NOT work for the 2nd generation iron slave unit. It is not thick enough though the circumference is correct...Does anyone know the correct part number?? Did 151822 work?

My '94 Spider had a Valeo slave (now it has a Hill Engineering slave!). I could be wrong but it does not look like cast iron to me.

As for bleeding the system, use 10 pounds on your Motive pressure bleeder. Pump it up (obviously while attached to your clutch fill master) to 10 psi with your slave installed and physically push the slave in with your hands on it, then pull it back (check that no clutch fluid drips from the slave area), then open the clutch bleed valve and repeat, and finally close the bleeder valve...before re-installing your pumpkin.

Now pump your clutch pedal slowly until you have a firm pedal, then open the clutch bleed valve again down by your pumpkin for the final bleed of any remaining air. Shouldn't be much.

Close the clutch bleed valve. Slowly unscrew the Motive bottle cap until you hear the gentle sigh of escaping air, then remove your Motive power bleeder from the clutch/brake master fill unit.

Done. Well, that's what worked for me, at least.

    Life is good!

Don't have the correct new P/N, but the one Ricambi sent me worked fine. If you contact Daniel, I'm sure he will get you the correct part.

Someone else on another thread quoted that 151822 worked so I am going to order it and I will report back to see if it works...It seems to be a mystery so hopefully we can solve this one...
