    This rubber boot?

(To be honest, they don't last very long. The little pilot holes for the screws can tear quite easily because the rubber is very thin and soft)

The one that I popped in my car oddly held quite well at the pilot holes. However, it started to tear, rip, and wear the entire "reverse corner," but I think that is primarily because I'm lazy and not pushing down far enough when going into reverse, so the boot gets pinched. Even with that said, I think I'll still replace the boot every other season or so. Even worn and ripped, I think it looks better than the alternative.

As for the slickshift gate... I think it makes a good difference, but have realistic expectations, just don't expect miracles here.

I bought one, and then another one off Daniel at Ricambi America a little while back.

And Daniel is right, they are fickle to re-fit and easily wreckable. I stuffed up my first attempt and thus the need to buy another new one.

But when the rubber boot is properly fitted, it makes a great improvement to the look and feel of the shift gate.

Awesome. I'll take a 10% reduction in the polishing price for my 348 shift gate as my "consultation fee" for improving your business model. :p

Don't worry though, you probably have a good few years ahead to save up for me cashing in my coupon. ;)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Pep boys has it on sale. I just saw it there. It was $13.68, but if you have them ship it out of state, there is no sales tax. It is just like winning the lottery. And if you smile while buying it, they ship it for free too.
    It is the best deal...anywhere

    Hey Edward.

same boot, same genuine Ferrari part... part has been and is available from the official 348 ferrari parts supplier (www.ferrariparts.co.uk). this is not a scarce item.

so you go pay $65 and I will pay $35 and you can call me out all day long for taking issue with Ricambi prices. I just call it like I see it and have no affiliation with any parts dealer or any other issues or previous dealings with Ricambi or Daniel.

    Have a nice day.

Mention it to Brent, he would do it. He has the carbon fiber center console.
