I'm convinced that engine isn't stock.

 

its a slr engine (STOCK) in a slk r171. slight mods to the lsd/intercooler it appears. they also did this to a e class w211

don't get me wrong i still would take the enzo

I'd rather see them duke it out on a track where the Enzo was born to run...not a drag race. I'm sure there's some ricers out there with modded STIs and AWD Eclipses that would smoke the SLK.

 

Theres hundreds of modified mustangs that will blow the Enzo out of the water... so uh, yeah?

Uhh ok, so you spent how much $$$ to outrun a car in a drag race that isn't all THAT fast to begin with. If you want a real roll on highway race I know a couple viper guys who would be down to play. Say 100-220.

Besides, the dude in the enzo isn't even driving that thing...

 

I love the fact you can't even hear the enzo engine over that SLR engine. One truely amazing sounding engine.

Enzo is supposed to be very loud, that's why i suspect that perhaps the Enzo wasn't even properly driven, it wasn't revved to red line before the guy changes gears.
In terms of power to weight ratio, i really doubt a SLK with a SLR engine will nuke an Enzo, even in the SLK55 form (i.e no supercharger) the SLK isn't really a light car, so with all that modification, i'd guess the Enzo will be about 250kg lighter than that modified SLK

 

I thought that as well. You can see how the enzo obviously backs off to let the slrk55 or what ever its called in front.

 

The person that was driving the SLK actually also owns the Enzo also (amongst other rare cars).

The Enzo is only loud with a Tubi. Most Enzos that have appeared on videos have Tubis (or similar non-standard pipes) so that's why the Enzo seems loud.
I don't think this Enzo has one, otherwise you'dve heard it on the flyby.

I can think of a couple of reasons the SLK beat the Enzo. It seems like he was actually driving it fairly hard, but the Ferrari creates a lot of downforce all the way up to 300km/h before the flaps move. This makes drag so I'm thinking the SLK has a lot less downforce i.e. less drag too.

Also the SLR engine has a fair chunk more torque than the Enzo so the mid-range acceleration would probably be much better, as we've seen.
I think the Enzo would edge ahead from a standing start, but would eventually caught by the SLK.
