I thought the new manual M5 was the answer to my prayers but I heard you can't turn traction control off? but if it is a manual you'll pretty much be the coolest person on Fchat.
Welcome to the fold!!...I am sure you will enjoy the Beast..comfort & high speed in one package....having driven both versions IMHO the SMG is better suited for the car...it can be cluncky at "normal" speeds but when you are in P500 mode the car sings....shifts smooth and fast...and the downshifts always let the exhaust note burble which is always a goof. The 6-speed was in response to us purists...LOL...and it needs that 7th gear if you are really going to stay with these F-Chat Pilots...LOL. What color??...Merino Leather???..HUD??..Comfort access???..details please!! Regards "S"
The car is a MY06 Black/Black with Comfort access and the iPod integration kit. I purchased it with 6100 miles on it and boy did I make out like a bandit! I doubt I'll ever buy a high end car brand new again... depriciation is a bi*ch!!!

Grats! The e60 M5 is one of my FAVORITES, I also drove took an SLK out for a test drive the other day, they only had the 280 on the lot but I liked it, I can only imagine how much more I'd love it if it had the amg oomph
Joeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! Long no see bro.. we gotta do a night out soon The 55 was an amazing car that showed that AMG is more than just big power. Unfortunately, everyone else was raising the bar while they set about creating a decently handling car. The M5 to me anyway, in its softest suspension mode matches the SLK and outpowers it - and that's not taking anything away from the AMG. I just felt it was time for a change.... too many Mercs in my past anyway.
