I just purchased a 06 F430 with 1,700 miles on it last month, my first Ferrari. I was driving my car tonight and lost power a minute later the slow down light came on. After checking in the manual it says its and exhaust problem. The question I have is 3 weeks ago I had a TUBI exhaust put on the car "not the pipes just the muffler" is this what is causing the problem? And does it void my factory warranty?

Don't know if it's the problem but it does void your warranty.

why does a tubi exhaust void my warranty? Is it best just to leave the stock exhaust on the car? I don't want to have future problems. I thought this exhaust was something that most ferrari guys had no problems with. If your right do you think I should put the stock muffler back on before I bring it for service or will they know?

The aftermarket exhaust is probably unrelated to the "slow down" light. The aftermarket exhausts typically trip the "check engine" light. Failures of the exhaust ECU's are pretty common amongst all models of Ferraris, and while not certain, likely your situation that has caused your "slow down" light. But, FNA has gotten more strict about the aftermarket exhaust system issue....see this thread, and form your own opinion on what you should do before taking your car to the dealer:
