2004 360 - i sometimes get a slow down light right at start-up and the other day driving in traffic it came on a few times w/ the car bogging a bit when the light flashed on and off. Once the road opened up the car ran perfect.

This leads me to believe some sensor is at fault, anyone know what part I would need to replace (photos if you have it)...

The car is under warranty but the problem is intermittent and i know the dealer will find everything "normal". Plus the it's about an hour ride away from the dealership.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I had the exact - and I mean exact - same problem. I knew there was no way, within minutes of start up, anything was overheated to the point where SLOW DOWN would appear.

And like many, I thought it was the electronics, so I had the thermocouple changed out and checked the CAT ECU - all last Fall.

Got it home, light still on at start up - and when it happened more than 2x a day, it would throw the CEl as well. Put it to bed, waited for spring to revisit.

Long story short: it was pre cat material, found in the stock header, that was coming off...I am waiting for non stock headers as I write this.

Morale of the story: don't wait, like I did, for the Ferrari CPO warranty to expire...have It fixed ASAP. And don't be satisfied until the light is completely off.

I guess process of elimination. Ultimately they went in with a boroscope and saw it first hand.
