    Hi Jerry,
There are three vertical positions for the windscreen wiper control lever on the right of the steering wheel.
    Highest position is stopped
    Middle position is intermittent
    Lower position is continuous

There is also a rotating switch on the same lever, which controls speed in middle and lower position.
I am not sure about the direction of the rotation, one position is low speed and the other is high speed.
    Cheers
    Jean-Michel

    Jerry,
I recently got my wipers to speed up considerably.
First I disconnected the linkage from the wiper motor. It's all visible at the trailing edge of the hood. The kingmaker should move smoothly and with little drag. I lubed the few hinges with some lithium grease and that helped a bit. At this point it's all up to the wiper motor! The simple thing to do is clean the relay and fuses with an electronic cleaner. I replaced the fuse and also used a product called stabillant to try and minimize power drain to the motor. If that doesn't get your wiper motors moving then you need to dig into the motor with a multimeter to see if there's too much resistance. You could also replace the motor but try the easy steps listed here first.

The grease in my motor was hard as a rock, I cleaned it all out and used synthetic to lube it. Also the center post (the one that the pax wiper is attached to) was completely worn out. There was almost an inch of play out at the end of the wiper. I took it to a local machine shop. They spray welded the shaft then turned it in a lathe, it works great now. I think the car went decades with no lube of any kind on that part.

Jerry, all the comments made and advice given all make sense however I would check that the motor is getting a good solid earth contact first.

I've had exactly this problem before with another car (not a ferrari) and cleaning/reseating the earth contacts made a huge difference.

If only it was this simple on the '41 Cadi I just got - it's got vacuum wipers and currently they are utterly useless !

I have a 46 conv. which had the same problem ...try spraying some WD40 or similar into the wiper motor...sometimes the seals have shrunk and the luibe swells them up enough for the vacuum to do its job...unfortunately there are few places that can rebuild vacuum wiper motors...good luck, Marc
