The light comes on now and then, sometimes stay on a min or two, sometimes stay on longer. It does seem to go away when I reduce speed(for example exiting highway and driving on local at slower speed).

If I am not mistake the warning light comes on when CAT is too hot, now I do not have a CAT, I have testpipe in place. Should I worry about the light at all?

When mine did that it was an early warning of the valve guides getting worn. Is it getting harder to start? Or plugs fouling? Sorry to be gloomy. Good news is that if you get it fixed they use the "improved" material.

Could be the sensor. What year is the car? The latest ones have much better sensors.

Check your thermocoupler ECUs (still under warranty if it is a 97...better hurry though), and also the sensors. Could be because you ahve test pipes the ECUs are getting confused. If you are nto running cats, simlpy d/c the ECUs and be done with it.
