    I really like the SmartCars... Saw a black one on the road last month - definitely cool. I don't think I'd want to go up against an H2 in one, but hey...that's life sometimes.

    yeah, 50mpg is nice and all, but I'd rather pay out the ass for gasoline and not die in a collision with a golf cart.

    People that choose fuel economy over safety are silly, in my opinion.

    Now before you go on a rant saying how these cars meet european safety and crash standards, look at the thing and say that to yourself a few times.

    I wouldn't get it for fuel economy, I'd get it because it looks so cool and is tiny and awesome and cute.

    wow, that's rather surprising. Really rough on the driver's side, but I could picture survival. Being a big guy, 6'5" 240, I doubt I'd have fared as well as the average person-- but then I likely wouldn't fit.
