Smart Car in Denver

Does anyone know if a dealer in Denver has been assigned to deliver/service the new Smart Car?

I think most are going to be sold by MB dealerships.

 

I have a reservation for one but smartusa has not told me if a local MB dealership has been selected yet. I don't want to buy the car if I can't get local service. I was hoping someone else has already been contacted by smartusa and given the dealership name. There are only 70 dealerships around the country and there is no guarentee that Denver will have one.

 

If there are going to be seventy dealerships, Denver will unquestionably be on the list, since it's the 21st largest metro area in the country. However, if by some chance it isn't, there's a dealer called 'Smart Wheels' at 1395 S. Broadway (303-282-6594) that has sold Smarts and electric cars for some time - I'm not sure if they service Smarts, but they'd probably know where servicing can be done.

Did you get your confirmation email in the last couple of weeks? It's a link to a website to reselect your options, etc. Once you are done the assigned dealer is supposed to contact you to create the paperwork. So, the worst case would be you find out when they contact you. Still, long before you have to sign anything and take delivery.


FYI I contacted them yesterday and have this info for you:

1. 2yr / 24k mile warranty (ext. warranties available)
2. 40 / 45 mpg 2007 regs..... 33 /40 mpg 2008 regs

 

I would check with Auto Connection for the Smart car info http://www.coloradoautoconnection.com/smart_car.asp Know they were selling the "older" Smart cars, they might know of the official dealer in Denver.

 

I've seen them at Murray Motors on Colorado Blvd, not sure if they're still selling them.
