    Hi everyone,
I have been trying to find out where I can source a 348 LHD passenger side front fog light. Unfortunately it was hit by a stone when on the motorway. All the lights still actually work but the glass is smashed to bits. I have tried every web site advertised on here after reading your posts for parts. Have also tried E-bay and autotrader. Basically if anyone on here knows of one can you please let me know. I did get a quote from a main dealer for 420 pounds but, was none in stock. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks and Merry Christmas.

    Simon

Yes I have Andrew, Just been on their website now actually and Eurospares list every single light but a 348 fog light. Have also been in touch with Douglas valley by phone and E-mail but still no luck. There is an advert on E-bay for a guy breaking 3 348's. Have E-mailed him but no reply, not too sure about that one if it's genuin.

you may want to speak to either Malcolm from Ferrari Uk or Daniel from Ricambi America, both of them have been hugely helpfull in getting fchaters a good deal on parts (Stratstone tend to be a little on the expensive side for pretty much everything)

USA and UK don't use the same lights, do they? They have different part numbers, and probably different light patterns for LHD/RHD.

There was a wrecked 348 going into an insurance auction here about 3 weeks ago. It had no damage at all on the front of the car, the lights were fine. Wonder who bought it? It was shown on FChat in the Northwest section.

    Hi Miltonian,
That would be interesting if I could find out where that car has gone. Think you maybe right about the lense pattern of U.K and USA cars being different. There were a pair of lights going on E-Bay from the states a while ago but couldn't tell if they were the same from the picture, plus they were second hand and would have cost the same as new over here. As regards the difference between the lights for left and right hand drive it would be usefull if someone could tell me if they are the same.

    Hi Simon,
Can't find anything indicating that there is a difference between LHD/RHD - only EU or USA spec (E-marked or UL marked maybe?). FerrariUK list these parts, taken literally it seems the lens is £138.

Anyone know where you can buy that cut-to shape plastic film stuff?? I suddenly feel the need to protect my lights...

    Simon,

Sadly the lens does not come seperate, you will have to buy the complete lamp at around £385.00 plus tax.

If you can find the euro ones I'd fit those, after all when was the last time you actually needed to use your front fog lights

Thought it was too good to be true about the lense coming seperately. Never mind eh. looks like I'll have to buy a new one. I'm gutted about the price though, it's very expensive considering you can get a 348 head light unit for half that price. Malcolm ,can you tell me if you have one in stock and if so I'll order it straight after Christmas. Thanks for everyones help so far, much appreciated.

    Hi Andrew,

    That would have been me.

Weather was just too nice, but not quite nice enough for the roof off.

you were behind me going down Meols drive (Modified Purple 911 cab), your car looked very shiny given the amount of dirt on the roads :D

Simon, that sucks! I had something similar happen to me. stone cracked the glass, but otherwise the lights still worked. I ended up buying a used one (BIG MISTAKE!) and was assured that it was not pitted and was in like new condition. When I got the darned thing, the glass was yellowed and pitted.

If you get a good source I'd be interested, I installed the used one becuase it looks marginally better than the broken one, but at least will keep the moisture out, but I'd really like to replace it with one in better condition.

Ahh yes, I recall your motor - it needs a wash :).

The F Car only goes out if its dry, and I had withdrawal symptoms as it had been 2 weeks since the engine turned over.

Mind you, yours was cleaner than my 944 - white, of all colours in this weather -but its been a reliable work horse.

Simon, the light angles are different between RHD & LHD but I wouldn't really bother much unless your inspection centres do. Mine had a crack & I used hot-glue to seal it. Speaking of stone chips, does anybody know where can we get the "lexan" or plastic covers that protects them? Some Challenge cars had them when they track & I'm sure it's an aftermarket item.

    Hi John K,

I have seen seen a few posts from you in the past and saw you lived on the Wirral. I was actually out in my 348 on Wednesday giving it a run as the battery was flat. Headed up to Chester though, normally I do go for a run to West Kirby and Hoylake quite often. Still haven't ordered a new foglight but as soon as new year is out the way I'll get one. I will keep an eye out for you in the future.
