Have your bidding fingers ready! Just an hour to go before the lucky winner takes his or her prize home. RESERVE MET: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170440182940&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3AWNA%3AUS%3A1123
Did I miss something here? I thought that it was basically $50k earlier with the reserve still not met. Am I making this up, or did the reserve change?
I would not think so either, but we may be suprised, it may be someone from the board who is going to take it apart and fix it 100% with his kid or something like that... I hope they paint it black again I like that color on a BB
Here we go again boys! Wonder why the deal fell through, maybe the buyer fainted when he saw it in person? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-Berlinetta-Boxer-512BBi-Last-True-Racer-12cyl_W0QQitemZ150413166690QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item230552c862
What Newman MEANT yet inadvertently sent the post too quickly, was, "Maybe the buyer fainted when he saw it in person due to a pre-existing condition that pre-disposed him or her to the causation of said faint. We hope no one was injured." Now that's cleared up, maybe it fell through if the buyer asked for books? Either way, interesting to see what happens this time.
What ever happened to that Chicago Boxer that had 120K on the clock? It was black too.......you remember that one Newman? It was ages ago.
Q: Why are you flipping it after just one month? Are there any problems with the collision repair? Is the injection working well? Thanks, BDP. Feb-11-10 A: I am not flipping it, it remain with tires on ground. Sorry for the idiotic response, but I have had this car for years, why do you say flip it after a month? Injection works well, but like I say, it has to warm up to run well. The collision repair included purchasing the hood ($6,000.00), and windshield ($2,000.00) and that's it. (other than paint $500.00 and labor $4,700.00 and materials est. 1000.00)
When it appeared to sell for $50K I kinda kicked myself the next day thinking I shoulda bought it. The problem is flying down to look at it and just end up vomitting then come home empty handed. If its a new or mint used front lid there is money to be made at $50K but not more.
Paul you should take it for 40 k and no more... I think then it would be worth the trailer to bring it home... then you can look at it and puke in the toilet after they unload it... Everybody knows the shape it is in... (I would hope they do)
So if the front half is worth $50K, is the back half also worth $50K? Does that make this a $100K car then? Seriously, IF a BBi had a salvage title issued AND was properly repaired/restored, how would that impact resale?
It would ALLWAYS be a salvaged car... no matter how well it was restored... it would still have a cloud on it (I am guessing)
Big lemon and hard to sell even at a discount. The stuff on the front might bring $10K its the goodies under the rear clamshell that bring the money and the clamshell itself...when it eventually all sells that is.
The seller only sells cars with "reconstructed vehicle" titles. Check out the three Lambo's he has for sale. Someday a sucker will be found for the BBi.
