does anyone have a smog pump and/or Svara Vapor Can for a 73 daytona. My platers screwed my vapor can (they forgot to cap the inlets/outlets) and it ate itself inside out. thanks again in advance.

You might want to check with Paul on Daytona Registry. A while back he had most (?) of the Daytona smog equipment available as a package of N.O.S. items.

P.S. Michael, the basic pump itself (and the diverter valve ?) are same as in GM vehicles, but most other related items, like the electromagnetic clutch/belt-pulley assembly, etc probably not.

They are, in truth, much harder to find than the urban myth would suggest.
The canisters are extremely rare and or difficult to find-beware of ones not EXACTLY shaped as was yours-they are NOT the same, and as such should be appropriately lower priced
    Caveat emptor
The staking of the base of the diverter and the location of the vac nipple, combined with the fact that internal sleeve is nylon, hence subjected to hiheat environment(means biggest wear zone), if worn, unit will NOT hold vac and NOT work/function properly..junk yards are called such as they ar full of...junk...
These are 40 plus years old, how many mint late or mid sixties have you seen in bone yards recently?
The notion that there exists a plethora of mint smog parts is urban myth...these are used in Ferrari format on 6 cylinder Chevys and a couple of rare subsets of Fords and that's it...

Functional stuff is not cheap, if it's important to you-as it was to me- I ponied up and paid for the absolute best stuff I could find...
If all you want is for show...an altogether different set of requirements, IMHO...

Any progress on the search for the parts you need? As the years go by it becomes a challenge to find some items. The reproduction of some parts and even decals has become necessary for recreating the 'factory' look.

TTR Agree but much of what wears or fails is US made I have all of mine in a box - it is a lot of weight most of which is forward of the front axles And don't get me started on the injectors and their interferrence with exhaust flow M
