I have the original smog pump for my '74, which was removed early in it's life to up the performance, supposedly. It appears to be in perfect working order. Would you have it mounted, or leave it off?

Did all US cars have a smog pump, or just Cali/west coast cars?

I'd clean it up and box it up. Not much point on installing it. You could install it without the drive mechanism that mates to the alternator but then your just toting dead weight. I would include it with the car if sold.

I left mine on to keep the car original so if the concours judge asks where's the smog pump I can say, "right there".

Many years ago in California when smog checks were still being done on Dinos I asked my beloved mechanic, Bruno Borri (rest his soul), what should I do? The car is barely drivable with that pump functioning. He worked his magic and when I came back to pick up the car he handed me an 8 inch piece of wire with an alligator clip attached to each end. Then he says to me, " You a drive a around a the corner froma the smog station,.... park, attacha thisa clipa here, and thata clipa, there. Go getta your testa. Drive outa around the blocka and removea the clips." I did what he said, and would limp into the smog station with the Dino popping and hissing (as it was tuned to run without the smog pump attached) but I passed every time. To this day, I still have the wire with alligator clips and the wiring diagram.....a true piece of Ferrari history. For you today, for sale for only $500 (only joking on the for sale part. The rest is true).

Don't even think about installing it. My understanding is that if you have a pump hooked up to the exhaust but not being driven by the belt it fills full of carbon and is ruined.

I have a US alternator and pump with that huge mounting bracket just in case I should ever need it for my Euro car, but I can't imagine why you would mount it unless you needed it to pass smog.
