What are my options for getting a smog test in the South Bay Area for a 92 TR? I've experienced a few issues in getting it to pass....

Hmm...maybe try Robert at "The Paddock" in Danville (Livery Shopping Center). I remember getting an email from him a little while back about free smog check's being done there on F355s, but Im not sure about TRs or if it was just a one day thing. The number is 925-838-2488.

Although I've never taken a Testarossa there, I (and my father) have taken a few questionable/recalcitrant Italian cars (#$@&%! SPICA Alfa, Maserati Biturbo) to Roselli in San Jose and they get it to pass. Be sure to ask about the $20 off coupon. Apparently they hand these out.

There's also a place on Camden between 17 and Bascom Ave. on the south side of the road that handles some of SVAG's customers' cars, IIRC.

I had my smog test on my TR in downtown San Jose, make sure that before you take it for the test, the car is fully warmed up. I drive the TR at least 30 minutes or more
and it help a lot in making the test pass.
