ALWAYS CHANGE THE BATTERIES 2X A YEAR, RULE OF THUMB.. FALL BACK (YESTERDAY) AND SPRING AHEAD (IN THE SPRING) ANY ONE NEED 9 VOLTERS, EMAIL ME [email protected] AND ILL SEND THEM OUT, GRATIS.. I DONT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT FCHATTERS WITH FIRE-GASES IN THEIR HOUSES THIS YEAR...TOO MUCH TRADEGY ALREADY FROM THE HURRICANES THIS YEAR.. BRUCE
GOOD CALL BRUCE! Along those lines, there are LOTS of fires every year from lint that builds up in the clothes dryer exhaust. Be sure to disconnect it from the dryer and clean it or replace it. Also, you may not want to run the dryer while you are not at home. I know alot of people that put a load in the dryer and go out to do errands, etc.
Bruce I just got the package you sent and wanted to thank you, I really appreciate it! You are definately the man!
I just bought a new smoke detector. It said the same thing on the front of the box in GIANT LETTERS. I guess a lot of people haven't been changing them lately. tsk tsk. Common sense folks, it's not so common, apparently.
I dont need any as I still have enough from the purchace I made from you three years ago! Thanks again!
Oh look! I found Sfumato's work-out routine on video! Where can I get the DVD? http://www.alldumb.com/item/18117/
After seeing this thread, I had to chime in.... I frequently purchase electronics from Best Buy and Circuit City. Make SURE you purchase an Extended Service Contract (warranty) on WHATEVER you buy from these stores. When the warranty is about to expire, break the item - don't smash it - just make sure it no longer functions (I usually spill water on it) and bring it back to Circuit City/Best Buy. THEY WILL REPLACE THE ITEM WITH A BRAND NEW ONE (usually a newer model). This is a GREAT way to save money on electronics while upgrading your home theatre. I have been doing this for nearly a decade without fail. PM me if you would like some more particulars. DON'T LET THE BIG BOX STORES TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!!! STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER!!!
Im terrible, I disabled my detectors because they kept beeping. Didnt have any batteries on hand so I just left them unplugged. Guess I need to go get some batteries!
Ummm...no troll here - check my post history. I am, however, of the David Horowitz school of thought (you probably don't remember him). I don't like being ripped off or taken advantage of by big business (insurance companies, big box retailers, etc). I'd imagine most people on this board subscribe to a similar philosophy. If you go to circuit city, they lay a HUGE paranoia trip on you and pressure you to buy the warranty (even if it is unnecessary due to an existing MANUFACTURERS warranty). So I buy the warranty - every time - and I get my $$ out of it and then some - every time. They can play their games, and I'll play mine.
Ripping off a store out of retaliation for not wanting to get ripped off is hardly a philosophy. If you don't want the warranty...just say NO THANK YOU!
Sad that you actually have rationalized fraud to this degree. You and people like you perpetuate a vicious cycle which harms not only you, but the rest of us honest people.
I believe that is called "Theft by deception". Prosecutable offense. Ruined return policies for several clothing chains, articles in Time and Newsweek in last 24 mos or so. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sorry Synergy, but if you don't look out for yourself, no one will. The world is filled with failed "honest" businessmen. I live by a pretty simple code - I take care of myself and mind my own business. If you try to take advantage of me you likely will end up on the losing end of a lawsuit. I don't like the way things work anymore than you do - but the fact remains it is a tough world. If you are not on guard and ready to attack - then you will BE attacked. By the way, the above was meant as business advice, but I just realized it is also good life advice. P.S. I wasn't trying to "impress" anyone - I was trying to help people avoid being taken advantage of. In return my character was attacked. Typical, but disappointing nonetheless.
YOU MUST AT ALL TIMES BE WARY OF BEING ATTACKED BY NINJA SALESMEN WEILDING EXTENDED SERVICE CONTRACTS THAT YOU DON'T HAVE THE BRASS TO TURN DOWN.
