The commentators kept pointing it out, the speed commentators that is. They concluded that it was probably a bit too much oil, and some was spilling out, nothing serious.

What is incredible this season is the reliability of the McLaren MB cars.

Thank you. I was wondering if it might have been a bit more serious.

Not only the reliability which is amazing considering how they have struggled for the last couple of years.

Their pace this year is a complete surprise, same engine, new tyres. I thought that Alonso was crazy for moving...

i hope the engine blows in spain. hamilton is good and has potential to be great but im sick and tired of hearing all these things about him being the greatest ever and so on. he needs to learn the hard way. he needs some DNFs. plus im a ferrari man( who isnt) praying for a ferrari 1-2 at span.

Yeah like Tiger Woods needed to miss a dozen or so cuts once he turned pro to learn how to be a champion. Get real.

Lets not start comparing Tiger to Lewis quite yet. But otherwise I agree.

To clarify I'm not comparing Lewis to Tiger in context of being a champion. Only in the context of remembering the bitterness I heard from older golfers who felt Tiger needed to be set straight on the golf course. Especially when he would state his goals and they'd retort "that's not possible".

Gotcha, just in this day and age every prodigy is being compared to Jordan, Gretzky, Woods, Schumacher, etc etc, it gets really annoying after a while.

Time will tell. It would be fun to see LH drive the Honda. If he could score 3 podiums in that POS I'll kneel in front of him. That would be proof.

It would be relatively easy for any of the current F1 drivers to do well in the Mclaren.

The current hype is big in the UK because he is a Brit (like me) which is OK

The greatest driver ever chatter and comparisons to Senna and MS are insane at this point of his career.

How many new F1 rookies started in a top team? Not many..

+1 however, he has done very well under pressure, I think Senna or MS would have done as well, but not the other drivers out there right now.

We all know very well Massa tried to get his car airbone of a corner and destroyed his car, Kimi has yet to brake one seriously, knock on wood.

If he finished in the points in a Honda, I'd kneel in front of him. If he scored a podium, I would convert to the Church of Lewis Hamilton and be his slave.

I agree that he has talent and I like LH. Let me put it this way if LH traded rides with Button for example we would not be talking about him. Button would be doing as well as LH in this equipment.

I don't think that'd be the case otherwise Button would have at some point in his career inherently been in the coveted position LH is in now. A car is one piece of the puzzle and a driver has to maximize. I just don't believe that's the case with Button.

I agree, but talent isn't the only deciding factor in getting a seat in F1, or a top seat for that matter. Politics, money and experience are huge factors. If it was only talent alone, then guys like: Sato, Albers, Ralf, and Fisi wouldn't have a seat. Also, there are only like 4 top seats available. You have to pick and choose through a large group of talented drivers that range from karting stars, F3 and GP2 drivers and current F1 drivers to fill those 4 seats. So talented drivers never get the chances they deserve and some of them only get mediocre seats.

Substitute FM for LH in the above quote and you would be correct.

Yes but Button has been around for many years now. Chances are he'd get blown off by Alonso in short order. LH has only done 3 races and been on the podium in all of them and led all of them. More importantly, he's made no mistake. I seriously doubt Button would have been that capable in his first three races.
