Before I dump a wad of cash on a scan gas, is there anything else out there I should be considering? The ability to to an analysis on the fly is nice, but not essential. I only have experience with the scan gas (Which I like very much) and an ancient Bosch unit (Which I also liked but it was only 2 gas).

    Thanks for any suggestions.

I've got a Tecalemit TG4000. It's a combi unit, (never tried the Diesel tester) And it's been great for the last 5 years, just annual calibration. I've been so happy with it i'm trading it for another of their units-A TG/MDS 250, has a built-in 'scope and OBD. Take a look at some of their products...good value for money IMO.

I have a Snap-On, the O2 sensor seems to be short lived, at best a year then needs sending in for service. Wouldn't buy it again, but the better alternatives are more moolah.
