For anyone that updated to Snow Leopard, here's a site with a list of programs & work, don't, & have issues but are being addressed. So far my Mac programs seem to be running a bit faster now.

A bit OT, but was Snow Leopard worth the upgrade?

Its a shame that they broke older versions of Filemaker and Bento as they own the company!

So how is it? Apple store says mine gets delivered the 1st, but I'm at school, wondering if its worth driving home for.

I'd like to hear from someone with first hand experience whether or not the upgrade is worth the time and effort.

It seems a bit faster loading programs, I'm using a MBP 2.16 Core Duo w/ gb of RAM. Also it eliminates about 5gb of older OS by stream lining various applications. for $29.00 it's not bad.

Haven't got it quite yet, but probably gonna pick it up later today. It appears there isn't a "family pack" option, so I guess I can install it on all my (Intel based) systems?

    Cheers,
    Ian

I upgraded both my wife's 2.4 2gb Whitebook and my 2.66 C2D 4gb 17" MBP... Haven't had any issues or compatibility problems with either. Both do seem noticeably snappier - especially opening applications.

Apps do run slightly faster under snow leapord. the install is a breeze, only 45 minutes or so. however, microsoft word is now messed up on my mac book pro. the spell checker no longer works properly (i have a large custom dictionary which can no longer be accessed). i spent over one hour trying to find a fix and i am giving up!! you may wish to wait a month or so for the software developers to find tweaks for this new os!!

MS word works fine for me, but I am using the 2004 version (11.5.5 edition).

I'm so mad, I was only able to upgrade for about a day. My school has our internet so locked down it unbelievable, never seen anything like it, I can't even send an email though an email client. It apparently doesn't like that I have Snow Leopard and won't let me connect, looks like I'm back to Leopard for awhile.

I appears that the battery life may be slightly extended also as the systems run quicker with less effort. Installed on my sons white Macbook last night after getting it back from the genius bar for a level 1 hardware repair. And after having it for only three weeks.......

I upgraded 3 computers, 2 iMAC's and 1 AMCBook Air. Upgrade took abuot 1 hour per machine and there were no issues.
Programs, esp on the Air load and run faster. THere were a couple of quirks like scanning with a HP Officejet but really no issues to speak of.
