Ugh... i was hoping to get another month or more of driving in before have ing to put the F-Car to bed for the winter... this doesn't bode well for that idea...
So much for leaf peepers, eh? I'm heading up to Hanover tomorrow to visit my daughter. I have to somehow find my ski jacket before going. Dale
Steven- Cool photo. Is that your 308 down there under cover? If so, it would be a great photo if you uncover it and shoot from the same location. A gleaming red Ferrari in a field of snow. jwise
I second that suggestion! Yeah..... the winter is soon upon us! Time to check/change the oil, condition the leather, and dream of next Spring when we can all drive around again!
Great idea, but some of the snow is now melting a bit. Am going to mount up the Blizzak WS50 tires with my old Etoile rims the weekend. Have an early November meeting in Boston and need to the car, then she is off to storage until May/April.
Guess i could, but the temps get really cold at my location during the winter. At some point it is best to not store the car here as there is no heated garage (plans to have this next year are in place). FYI: Here is what my Scientific Atlantic top-line weather station read last year. And yes, that is a minus before the number. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Say it isn't so! Now I know why you got the tow hooks Steven. Track day my eye, they are so you can get pulled out of the snow. LOL!
Steven lives above the arctic circle. None of the rest of us have snow. Don't even think the "S" word this early in the season. I want to be driving until Xmas! Birdman
SNOW SNOW SNOW ;-) Birdman is right, that is indeed a Ferrari under that cover. And yes there is STILL snow on the ground here. And yes the tow hooks could come in handy to dig out. So Mr. Birdman do not make fun of me trading in the Honda Del Sol sporty car for my new Ford Ranger HE-MAN 4x4 with dirt/mud/snow digging rubber. Besides, am shopping for a used aluminum open car carrier to trailer the car to far away track events and the Ford will come in handy Soon i will be mounting the 16-inch Etoile rims with Blizzak WS50 rubber (said to be THE BEST tire for snow and ice) on the Fcar and changing the oil to 0W-30. Hmm... snow drifting a Ferrari in an empty parking lot anyone? PS: my home private tele number is only ONE DIGIT AWAY from the White Mountain Observatory and sometimes i get misdialed calls with people asking for the "current conditions." i kid you not.
That is insane, and I thought Canada got the most snow, I guess Toronto is kinda lucky, doesn't usually get any snow until December.
AAARRGHH!!! King Winter have arrived.....this suck BIG TIME!!!! We had our first snow fall last Monday, chaos on the roads and all Thuesday, all the snow was gone.....for this time. So I guess I have to store my baby away for the winter....soon...
We got about 8 inches here. Yes it definately is too early the leaves are still on the trees! We have had power outages all over also.
