    Their only concern is to teach you to ski or snowboard safely. Shops will gladly help you choose the right gear. Like anything else, you have to educate yourself.

    I can't speak about KB, I get to HV once a year where I put the family in some lessons and get some good solo runs in.

    Thanks. I see they offer "intermediate" and "Advance" lessons as well.
