Just bought a piece of land in Vermont. My property is connected to the trail system whose name I do not know, but the owner said he has left this property and got halfway to Alaska on this trail system. I've probably rented snowmobiles twice in my life, and have no intention now of anything other than spending a couple of hours on weekends riding around. Anyone have any recomendations?

Find a low mile (< 2000 miles - the lower the better) Arctic Cat F6 or F7. Make sure it's an EFI (will start on the second pull everytime). The SnoPro version had racier suspension. Huge bang for the buck. Years were 2003-2006. They didn't change much.

I had a 2006 F7 EFI and I think I paid $4500 or so a few years ago. It had 1200 miles on it and was mint. Be patient and look around. They come up. An F6 EFI would be almost as fast and a little cheaper. Great sled too. They will run 100+ MPH.

I really like Arctic Cats, so I'm biased. They all make a good sled. Skidoo is really hot right now. A new one is ~ $12,000.

Where in Vt is the land you bought? I've been snowmobiling in Vt for the last 15 years and would be glad to answer any questions you have.
The trail system is run by VAST which stands for Vermont Association of Snow Travelers.

If you don't WANT one right now wait until after winter (season) and buy one cheaper?
Kinda like buying boats in the winter, they are always cheaper because nobody wants one in the winter.

Here in Vermont old man winter forgot about us. We haven't had much snow at all. The snowmobile season is half over and mine still sits in storage due to lack of snow.

    Rob,
It's in West Wardsboro, right between Stratton and Mt. Snow. The property has direct access to the VAST system. Anything you can tell me will be appreciated.

We are neighbors I'm over on Stratton. What I can tell you right off the bat is that in the 15 years I have been riding we have never had a winter like this with no snow. If you haven't already check out the vast website that I posted. Are you near the Stratton arlington road?
