While in town last week for the various auctions, I came across the Scottsdale Lambo dealership. I went in and walked up to the preppy salesrep and introduced myself as a board member of the Chicago Lambo chapter. I was interested in one of their license plate frames, to give as a present to our chapter president. He told me to come back Monday since Service was closed on Saturday. I then tried to purchase a baseball cap with their logo. He brushed me off again stating that they didn't know where the keys were to open up the display case. Now this was at 10:00 am and they were open since 9:00 am. You would think that knowing the number of people and potential buyers coming in to look that he might have been a little more helpful. I noticed he brushed off a few others in the shop. A little customer training might be in store for some sales reps down there.

Where I live, for that kind of staff behaviour, you would get fired from Volkswagen dealership, not to mention some exotic car dealer. :/

You didnt go to the Dealership, you went to the museum.
If you were on your cell phone, they would have kicked you out.
And God forbid you take a picture.
Dont worry we all get treated this way from them.
Javeds **** doesnt stink, but his breath sure does.

In the 70s I went to an Alfa dealership and wanted a car, the salesman treated me like sh**, (I was driving a chevelle and was 17) so I went out to a Porsche dealer, bought a car and purposly went back to that salesman to show him my purchase, I hope he learned a lesson back then, but I doubt it. Once a di** always a di**

I believe that they are very consistent in their treatment of potential customers - they treat everyone like sh**. :)

I read on some other board that a group of people showed up there in Gallardos and Murcis and they were treated very shabbily as well. I guess when Lambo consolidates its US presence, someone should be able to give them the chop ....

Not surprising. It seems a lot of people have a lot of negative things to say about lambo scottsdale. I'm glad Lamborghini of Dallas is the complete opposite of that.

One of the posts here reminded me of a funny story.

When I had my '84 LP500S, my main daily driver was a VW New Beetle. Unfortunately that beetle had some severe electrical issues that were taking the local dealer, then another, and another, and then VW north america, and 2 engineers from Germany assigned to my car... about 2 months to sort out. In the end they could not track down the issue, but proved it was there and it wasn't me not being able to shift correctly (as the original diagnosis was). They shipped the car back to mexico to the factory for autopsy, and gave me a matching twin car from the other side of the state the next morning. Anyway... I digress.

During the time when I thought the car was just un-fixable, and VW was going to stiff me on replacement, I was just getting annoyed and wanted to play with replacing the car with someone else. Headed out to a Toyota dealership with a friend and were gazing around the showroom. The newest body style of the MR2 had just hit, and I was interested cause I liked the Gen2 bodies. Went to ask a few questions and a newer sales guy was eager to toss out some answers. A senior sales guy then came over, smelling blood in the water and amazingly took the approach that the car was high powered fun! Now, I'm not saying they're dull drivers, but ... this guy was going on and on about it, and then even crossed the line when I started asking about various spec's on it... and suggested, it might just be a little too much power for me. He then pushed me towards the higher priced Celica, which would be "much more stable and easier to handle day to day". I don't know if he seriously thought I was incapable of handling an MR2 at highway speed, or if he was trying to insult me into buying the MR2 out of spite or ego... either way, didnt' bite. I quickly just started to lose interest in talking to him and just made him re-answer basic questions about the MR2 over and over to soak up his time :p sales guys HATE that.

Eventually he told me and my friend to come back and let him know when we thought we were really ready to look at a car with some power.

Me both laughed silently as we looked at each other in disbelief of the comment. 2 other sales people came up and handed us their cards and said "... if he's not available, we'd be happy to help."

They apparently took the time to see what we rode up in :) As the VW was in parts in 3 dealerships, I was forced to go car shopping in the CT.

I've never seen a sales guy run out of the showroom that fast to try and catch a customer! What could he have POSSIBLY said to make up for suggesting I couldn't handle a 140hp MR2. My VW had more balls than it :) but... we were gone by the time he made it to the edge of the lot. About 6 blocks worth of GONE :)

Oh, and one time I had my CT in at Criswell Lamborghini in MD. They did a service and forgot to tighten up something. Took it back after it failed. Something with a line of some type, not internal though, not sure off the top of my head what though. Anyway. Told me car would be out for 2 days because they had so many on the lifts already.

Gave me a used GEO metro 2 door as a loaner.

2 days later I gave it back needing some minor tune up work :p *******s. For customers with more previous services with them than me, they would give out at least a nice mid sized sedan or even a corvette. And they were the ones that CAUSED the issue. Thats the worst snub I've ever had at a Lambo dealership.

Worst over all was Ferrari of Scottsdale. Went in with the girlfriend while they were finalizing service on my bug, and the paperwork on her new one I just bought her from the VW dealer across the street. They told us it was appointment only and we had to stay 3 feet from the cars. Then no one said anything else to us, and pretty much blatantly ignored us until we left. A week later, pulling up in the Countach, apparently the appointment only requirement was old news and we were even given 2 tshirts. Aholes :p

In the early 90's I was looking for a new car. I was skiing back then, so the MR2 was too impractical, but I loved the design. The salesman let me take a turbo model for a spin. You know how they always drive the car off the lot? He drives to a industrial park behind the dealership and proceeds to do a few donuts!! WHEEE!! (it was night so no traffic) I ended up buying a......Camry :( (nice car, not so fun)

My neighbors have one that's been parked on their driveway for years. Paint is peeling, tires flat, windshield cracked. Don't know what's wrong with it, every now and then think about asking about it. Probably would be cheaper to find one in working condition than sorting that one out though.

I got yelled at for taking a cell phone picture, I came in the side door and didn't see the No Cell Phone Sign. The woman at the desk was very nice, but the salesman and owner...different story....they said someone was taking pictures on their phone, and put the cars up for sale for themselves. Stuuuupid.... I like driving up to look at either Scottsdale Ferrari, or Scottsdale luxury pre-owned, or Porsche N.Scottsdale. They are all much nicer. Although Lambo has better cars there. Only place I've seen Spyker. Ive been trying to get my Dad to buy an exotic, and the crappy service didn't help my efforts.

I agree about LoD, now if they would get the sales team at LoH up on par with LoD life would be good:D:D The service dept at LoH is impeccable and highly recommended on the flip side.

I heard rumblings about bad management at LoH, thus the problems trickles down to the salespeople, who get frustrated and quit.

From my own experiences, people that work at those places think they are in the upper echelon of society just because they WORK at these high end dealerships, but the bottom line is, they are still car salesmen! I've met a few nice car salesmen and a lot of stereotypical @holes.

they honestly have a reputation for doing stuff like that
ive experienced it myself a couple times
the guy is a complete ass (owner i mean)

inside scoop about them from a dealer friend, is that Lamborghini USA is looking for reasons to strip them of their contract with them... the owner is in quite a mess

Maybe a few more complaints to Lambo USA ought to break the camel's back?
