    Hi,

Well, it would be easiest to get a new body tub made for it. The LWE's were all based on a roadster (OTS) although there were some successful coupés (FHC) as well, raced by Cunningham, Salvadori etc. (4th OA, 2nd in GT class in 1962 Le Mans IIRC) but they were never considered "Lightweights" only E-types with a racing history.

Regarding the Low Drag coupés the factory only built one from scratch, and additionally converted the Peter Lindner LW OTS to Low Drag configuration for 1964 (fatal accident in the 1000kms of Paris 1964) I have a few period photos somewhere, and then there was a non-factory period variation with a pointy nose (Samir Klat design) but there are many many recreations made later.

Theoretically you could use any car as ID, as if you go full race spec, there will not be many parts from the standard car being used, maybe the prop shaft and rear axle, and instruments. Of course if you just want the looks, then you could use most hardware from any 6-cyl car, of course a 3.8 would be the most logical choise, but in the end it does not matter much, unless you plan on building a FIA certified historic racer.

    Cheers,

    Pekka T.
