<places soap box on ground> <climbs up> <rant mode on> I know I am, as well as a bunch of other ferrari owners its pretty funny how i watch people do deals and transactions with dealerships all over the country, cause of the promise of 430's. So who else here is first on the a list? "sure mr x, buy this CS from us today, and you'll buy first on the list for the 430" <under his breath>(first on the list to get the 30th available car in 2008)</under his breath> sorry guys just busting balls i am sure you'll all be driving the first 430 in the states! <rant mode off>
I am still filling out the required paperwork to wait in line, to get on the list... 30 pages of multiple choice questions followed by a 10 page essay on why you should be considered as a potential perspective buyer for the brand-newest Ferrari... Keep your fingers crossed for me fellas!!!
I'm on the list before those who are on "The List", but after those who are not on "The List"...got it?
i think everyone is first on "the list" they just have lots of "the lists" ie: Noah is first on "the list" to get a car after pigs fly out of my ass
It's kinda like when you go to a hot club in Manhattan and if you tell the bouncer that you're on "the List", he will let you wait in line with 50 other people whom are also on "the list". However, if you are a real EC playa, you say: "yo, G, good seeing you! Thx for taking care of my EC brothers.", hand him General Grant and walk right in!
My father filled out his specs a few months ago for his 430 at WWoC. He was amazed when they said he was getting the first one in because he wanted a 6 speed vs the F1. Adam
Funny that, because as Rob pointed out, I know three other people who are "first on the list" at WWoC.... nlh
He was not first on the list, however, he wanted a 6 speed, and the first car is a 6 speed, all the others wanted F1. In addition he he knows someone at FNA.
The "list"? There is no "list." If you were really "on the list" you wouldn't need a list, if you get what i mean. Lists are for losers. Its a dealer ploy. The folks with real juice have a different experience: the dealer is called by FNA and told, by the way, you will be delivering a car to X. The car arrives at the dealer. You go pick it up or have it delivered to you. Ferrari is brilliant. There is a market for sticker, and the real market for people that can't get the cars at sticker. So, you have the incentive to do anything you can to ingratiate yourself with the dealer. But, the reality is, even the dealer doesn't have that much say. Just ask them.
Adam -- I'm sure your dad has a very good relationship with the guys at WWoC, but as far as I know, Ferrari hasn't started taking orders, configurations, deposits, or anything officially yet for the F430. Yes, your dad may have sat down with his sales guy at WWoC and told him what he wanted, but that info is just sitting on his desk right now. The real "wheels of motion" haven't started yet. Ferrari is currently in production of the F430 for European models only. However, I may be absolutely wrong on this one, and if so, I'll readily admit it. nlh
