    Ok... not exactly a fair race so let's make it short..

    today (saturday @ approx. 3PM) at Pacific Coast Highway in Newport Beach, California.

    me = 2001 Ducati 996 superbike with Leo Vinci Exhaust (yellow)
    him = 200X Fort GT appears to be bone stock except it's louder than usual (black)

    So I stopped at the light @ Avocado, then realized a black thingy came up on my left, looked at the driver, he signaled to race, at first i was like "wtf".. then i gave him the "nod".

    light turned green, he took off first and I got a fair start and 85% throttled @ first gear to avoid that unnecessary wheelie, then @ the end of 3nd gear; i look back and the fort GT was like waaaay behind..

    so we stopped at the next red light @ crystal cove with cc estate on my left, the ford gt driver yelled at " jesus.. and i thought my Hiyabusa was fast, what u got there?"

    i replied "stock 996 with an after-market exhaust". I added "dude this is so not a fair race, hey I've got a Ferrari 360 and you would eat that for lunch haha.. so don't feel too bad", the Fort GT driver then gave another thumbs-up, then we just cruise our way from then on...

    so there, hope this story is not too boring for you fine people, just thought i would share here...

    Sooooooo,

    You carried on this very detailed conversation with a driver in a "loud" GT while sitting a good 2-3 feet higher on a bike with aftermarket cans THROUGH a helmet?!?!? And he was able to hear and understand every word and give a thumbs up? :D What total BS!

    You weren't wearing a helmet. In which case you were just another squid ***** drag racing on public streets without a helmet giving all bikers a bad name.

    So the point of this thread was to show that a 996 can beat a FGT wow who whoulda thunk? A well ridden 600 could pull on a FGT up to about 100. Why do you always blur your face out anyways?

    Doesn't want all of his internet customers to know what he looks like. Maybe, and this is pure speculation, he's worried about how some of them would treat him if they met him.

    Can you think of any other reason to blur your face? Unless of course you have a face like this!!!

    btw...his busa is fast...faster than the 996 by just over...well it's a ton faster.

    and another btw...we know how jimmy rides so i would have suspected that the ford would have packed his lunch from the launch.

    and yet one more btw...jimmy, thank you for not doing a wheelie as nothing good comes from you on one wheel.

    I used to drift my Nissan thingie around the Macarthur-to-PCH-Westbound turn and scare the hell out of everyone dining at Gulfstream.

    Good times.

    Never saw Jimmie there, though :(

    I would have raced him because everyone knows that hopes & dreams are faster than sportbikes :)

    Sigh...I am not joking, not even one bit...But ever nation wide car forum I have ever been on Jimmy540 spams the crap out of it to get traffic on his site...

    But hey if my father/ family paid for everything while I sold fake Ferrari keys and cheap xenon blubs I would brag too.
