i don't have anything against Billy, but i heard a while back that he isn't exactly a great driver... Any truth to this...? Also heard he was arrested for a driving-related incident when he was younger...

That is an understatement! Probably more like 30+++ major stars.

 

You must mean major movie studios. No major movie stars are worth 11 bill. I don't think any are even worth near a 1 bill. The top stars like Cruise< julia Roberts etc. are probably in the 300- 400 mil area. Last I heard, Oprah was closing in on a Bill and she was the only one.

You never know who you'll run into. There's a guy at work who's a real blow-hard. We'll call him Kenny, since that's his name and he'll never read this, and he's the kind of guy who thinks he's really the s**t. He's 40-ish and has decent money (couple million), but mostly because he's single, cheap and barely dates. Anyway, he was in Arizona (by himself, natch) and went to play golf. They matched him with a 3-some, a middle-aged guy with his two young sons. After talking about himself for a dozen holes or so, Kenny learns that he's playing golf with one of the top honchos at Dell (I forgot which). Only difference is, this guy was very down to earth and very rich. By the way, Kenny actually told me this. He said he felt pretty stupid.

Another Kenny story (non-celebrity--just funny). He and another guy were in Austin, which is a funny thought if you knew what hipster urban metro idiots these guys are. They went into a strip club where Kenny got a little too touchy-feely with the girls. He was warned to behave himself, prompting him to get a little mouthy. The bouncers started escorting him to the door, where he informed the bouncer that "I make more money in a day than you do in a month!" The bouncer pinned him to the wall by the neck, to which he responded "Do you know who I am?!" The bouncer immediately threw him down the staircase. The police arrived and Kenny tried to complain to them about his treatment. He was basically told to get in his car, go back to his hotel, and not come back!

 

Off Topic, but Gilles, that is a sweet picture you have in your profile. Very original.

 

The story actually said that when MS stock moves just a few dollars, Gates net worth can fluctuate more in one day than the total of what several big name money makers like Oprah, etc, are all worth.

 

Apparently bigtime Porsche guy, although I don't think he's Jerry Seinfeld bigtime Porsche guy.
