    But the funniest part:
It was hacked by a hacker whose most creative handle is "Gwerdna" aka AndrewG...man, if only I had that kind of amazing mind. Hacking OSX and spelling his name backwards to throw off the authorities...awesome! ;)

This doesn't surprise me in the least, it was all just a matter of time until it happened.

Turn off SSH (actually, don't turn it on...)and don't give login accounts to whoever asks for one, and you'll be much better off than that machine.

This is just a jealous campaign by shunned Linux users who can't glory in the recent Steve Jobs worship.

Dont even get me started. I write AV code for a living. PowerPC processors have separate code and data stacks. Intel processors have the same stack for code and data. As long as you can overflow data into the code stack, which turns data into code, the potential for malicious code exists. Thats all I can say.

For those interested in Mac vulnerabilities

Discovery of the vulnerability follows last week's discovery of two low-level worms targeting Mac OS X: Leap-A and Inqtana-A.

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/02/22/macosx_vuln/

There are other cases too. In no way do I want to imply its as bad as the 180,000 known Windows viruses. As one said, there are more cases than being published. There are ways to get root priveleges on most any operating system, Unix, Linux, OSX, even OS400.

Yeah, disable SSH, and firewall (hardware, I like Netscreens at wire speed) everything and you have very few problems.
