    for a variety of reasons
I had to find a used car for my daughter and take hers and rebuild the engine, a couple of weddings , some funerals, .... life happens

But I want to start driving again as soon as i do the belts.

    Questions

Do I need to drain the tank and fill with new gas before I start up?

Do the parts of the tank, filter, pump, injectors degrade as in the 550 ?

Any gaskets back there that I should replace?

    thanks

I would not worry about the gas. I bet if you put a new battery in the car will fire right up. I had a mondial cab qV sit for 2 years and it fired right up. Gas is more stable than people think. Sure new gas is best or you could be more parnoid and drain if you want. It isn't that hard but what do you do with the gas? Put it in your daily driver? If you wanted to drain I would run a line from fuel rail to a gascan and run the fuel pumps. You could dilute old gas by adding new gas to it. But in my experience on many cars I would not bother. Just run it. 9 mons is not that long. Just NO jump starting Ferraris!!!! Put a good battery in and fire it up. let it idle with everything off for 10 mins then go drive it.

new battery, and fire it up.
leave it running for about 5-10 min before moving anything - the computer has to readjust.

then go take it to the gas station and top up with fresh premium. if you were in a cold climate i would advise adding one of those products to dry the gas out, but cali is dry.

you might feel some flat spots on the tires, but that will work itself out with use.

    thanks to both of you.

Any idea if 575 has gasket deterioration issues like 550?

Steve- Old style paper intake manifold gaskets on the 575M broke down really quickly, but have been replaced with newer metal ones with rubber/plastic covering. The down time should not really have affected those, though. A bunch of the 550 fuel gaskets were updated for the 575M, so those should not be an issue, either. Other problems like cracking fuel pump covers should not be affected by sitting down, either. The 575M also does not have the foam piece around the bottom of the fuel pumps like the 550s, so that is also not an issue.
