    I've been aware of a difference in the "weather stripping" material between my engine compartment and my trunk area. The trunk area has the "neoprene-type" of material while the engine compartment has simply a plastic cover over the metal. My thinking is that the neoprene material would be correct. The photo shows the neoprene material surrounding the trunk. Any guidance? My car is a 1974 GTS. Toda raba. Marc

    The two types are used on different edges. The neoprene is weather stripping to keep out wind or water whereas the textured vinyl stuff just covers the sharp edge of the metal for appearances sake and safety.

    I don't have a link to one, but I would think that if you search the "where to buy" section you will find a vendor who will have a diagram of what goes where.
