Saturday: Hiked in the Angeles National Forest with my wife. Sunday: Helped my wife with her Horse Experience for foster kids. and oh yea, bought a 1983 512BBi.
Friday night: Watched Jurassic Park and a few other shows on TV. Saturday: In the morning, ordered my new helmet, the Arai GP-5. Should be here on Thursday. Afterwards, went to National Pharmacies Optical for an eye test. Then looked at getting Nike flexible glasses to use exclusively as my racing eyewear. Will bring the helmet in next Saturday to try on with the glasses frames. In the afternoon, got a long overdue haircut. Then saw "The Manchurian Candidate" at the cinema. Sunday: Went to the gym.
Friday night: Took 3 German friends to Paulaner for dinner but mainly drinks. Ran in to Michael Collins and his family (once again, the Ferrari club of Shanghai is always together). Grilled pork knuckle, washed down with beer, schnapps, and Jaegermister. Hell, I was singing in German by the end of the night... Saturday and Sunday: After said drinking with the Germans, I was up at 6 AM and on the road by 7 AM. Corporate team building 4 hours away from Shanghai. It was cold and it rained, but I had fun. Sunday night: Karen ordered pizza and I crashed moments after finishing it.
busy weekend for me. Sat Had my daughter's Christmas program at school and then went to look at a Lotus Esprit and the guy took me for a hell of a ride. (well into triple digits) Sun Picked up my new John Deere and placed it into the garage for a nice long winter nap.
Slipped and fell in the shower, spent the weekend nursing three broken ribs. Watched "Under the Tuscan Sun", "Brigitte Jones' Diary"
I didn't get a chance to talk to the Vette driver, but the WRX guy was pitted right next to me, and he was on the phone to his agent (AAA) and they are covering it. It was not a timed event, so most companies will cover damage. He multiple-rolled the WRX at 8A so it is most definitely a total. Gary
Bastard!!! Friday night drove to Stephenville, TX where my duck lease is. Stayed at the Holiday Inn. Next door is a nice Italian restaurant for supper. Had a beer at a local bar in the Holiday Inn. I was the only one there that didn't know everyone there. Exact same people that were there last Friday when I did the same thing. Listened to the locals sing the same songs they sang last Friday on the Karaoke machine. My favorites being "I'm a redneck women" and "Save a horse, ride a cowboy". Saturday woke up at 5am and in the blind at 6:30am when shooting time started. Hunting a little slow, three of us still got 7 ducks. Drove back to Southlake and slept all afternoon. Saturday night meet friends in Deep Elum before all going to Cirque du Soleil-Varekai. Spent all day Sunday recovering.
They'll cover, but most likely drop now. Insurance companies are finally figuring this DE stuff out and will drop you if they find your name on an entry list or in my case, by even inquiring if they would cover you. You may have never been to an event or even planned for it, but if you just ask them, they can drop you. Geico did to me.
I went deer hunting this weekend in Paducah, TX, an hour south of Childress... One of the other guys got an 8 point, small bodied though... The only chance I had was while I was scouting some tracks and looking for bedding areas, with my damn stupid head looking down at the ground, when a large buck jumped up from his bed about 15 yards from me. He was gone so fast through the thick brush that I even didn't have time to raise the gun. Oh well, the beer was cold and the poker game was good.
Friday Nite: Dinner out with the wife and kids. Played with kids for a a little but. Put kids to bed at 8:00. Surfed the net for a while, then went to bed. Got some! Sat: Crystal Cove in the AM. Spent rest of day running errands, playing with kids. Went to a couples nite out dinner with some friends ($60 for babysitting, ouch). Got home, went to bed. Got some!! Sun: More errands. Went to the park with my daughter and flew a kite. Did some surfing on the internet. Put kids to bed, surfed the net some more, went to bed. Got some again, 3 nites in a row!!!!! Friday night went party hopping, talked to the ladies, almost got my car towed and roasted marshmellows and drank mixed drinks in front of a bonfire late into the night. Saturday my friend brought over his X-box and Halo 2 and we wasted the night playing that. Sunday plowed through 6 hours of homework, ate, took a nap, and worked out.
