Heard on The Speed Report that USF1 has gotten special dispensation to test at Barber Motorsports before the tesing on the other side of the big swamp. They are also getting more straight line testing time that they can exchange for wind tunnel testing.....

I'm only 2 hours from Barber and it would make a nice outing to get some pics, if they let spectators in.

I saw that too, I would seriously doubt they'd be letting anyone in though. I guess it can't hurt to try.

even our local press has gotten hold of this..there was article in the local paper here saturday. It was the most F1 coverage I can recall seeing in the Bham news. Zoom motorsports, which manages the track sent an email out to some of us car club guys today stating that a definite date for testing has not yet been set and that it would most likely be closed to the public. I think the track management is tickled to death about the prospect of USF1 coming but I also think they want/ have to keep this thing underwraps. However, if the museum is open on test day(s), which I am guessing it might well be, there will be an opportunity to watch the testing from several vantage points. Will post if I hear of a firm date

Heard it too and might make the 8 hr round-trip if the timing is right and the session is open to the public.

I doubt that it will be open to the public. I also would not be surprised if they close the museum during the test.

On the flip side If they did open it to the public PW could make a few $$ selling rare USF1 gear:D

Jeff, I think they said 19/20/21.

If you make it then please try to also make it to the Indy testing the following week! We need a barometer.
