I vote for Hamilton, I also hope Jenson blows a motor or figures out some way to DNF every race.
I like this it made me laugh so it gets my vote I thought I was cynical bastard but as always you go one better..
Can't make a choice... Schumacher is the right man in the wrong car... Alonso is the wrong man in the right car... Go Massa!!! The right man in the right car!!! But it sure will be an intresting season! In the end Ecclestone is the biggest winner...
Massa first, but they've handed the team to Alonso so I don't see Massa getting the support he will need. Schumi before Alonso but, after Massa, it doesn't matter to me. Would love to see one of the rookies/young guys surprise us all. Also love reading Rosberg's brave insistence that he welcomes the challenge of Schumi. Good luck, kid.
Thanks for pointing out each team has 2 drivers... That wasn't my question so If you would like feel free to make a new poll.
Hope Ferrari takes both championships but whoever has the fastest car will win....don't count out red bull....if it is a rainy seaon watch out for vettel.
C'mon. You do realize you're referring to the guy that tried ram Villeneuve off the track purposely in 97 and took a prolonged scenic tour of Monaco in qualifying more recently as a "nice guy" right? If Alonso's an "A'hole" and Schumi isn't, I'd probably choke on the gum you gave me in stupefaction. At least they have another thing in common, a desire to win that supersedes all else. Bring on 2010. Forza Fernando.
Shumacher and Brawn all the way. Considering all they've done for Ferrari, they deserve success in any team they go to. And most importantly, it will show how foolish Luca was to let them go. Hopefully he can make some better decisions in the future...
I can't turn my back on Michael, the man is an inspiration! Not quite sure how I'll feel, I'll only know once the season's on. I wouldn't mind seeing Schui, Massa or Alonso win the WDC. I definitely want to see Michael crush both McLaren drivers. In a way, I'd like to see Michael win just to wave it in the face of the naysayers that claim a 40 year old with 3 years off can't be competitive. I think Michael will be VERY competitive!!!
Schumi, and Massa. Never cheered for Kimi and I'm not really an Alonso fan. Although my dislike of him has diminished a little. I can't wait to see Schumacher back in an F1 car, even if it isn't red.
When it comes to the Scuderia, the Tifosi are always serious!. I support Ferrari so why should I be concerned about any other team? (unless they run Ferrari engines?). I would say what I wrote explains quite clearly what is important to Me and I'll happily repeat it on any other site you care to mention. Sorry I don't live in your F1 "love in" world where everybody supports every team and "Hey!, they're all winners just by being on track!". I think it's more than just people supporting MS. There seems to be quite alot of anti-Ferrari feeling about the place lately. Almost every reply to My posts makes Me think of the quote from Jaws: "We're gonna need a bigger boat!"
Kinda funny to see more rooting for Mercedes/Schumi at this point. What happens if Alonso leaves him in the dust?
I never thought of Schumi as a "gentleman racer", in F1 tradition. But I had to respect his almost robotic precision. His last couple of years with Ferrari, we started to see that precision start to slip. Alonso, in his "vunderkind" years, was a spoiled, whining brat. A few years of adversary *might* have improved him. I'm going to wait to see what kind of account these two make for themselves. Does Shumi still have the ability to hit the apex 10/10ths every time, and to pounce on any error by another driver? How will Alonso cope with having Massa as a teammate? (I have to see Alonso's moving to Ferrari as either a sign that Alonso still catering to his ego, or as a sign of uncertainty for Renault's future in F1.) The other jury is out on the Scuderia. If Ferrari starts holding Massa back in order to cater to Alonso's ego, they will certainly have lost my support as a racing team. Yes, they've done it before. Mostly visibly at Austria in '02. (It wasn't the team orders I objected to, or the way the pass was handled -- Rubens deserved to be seen as the winner. It was holding Rubens back to give extra points to Shumi who didn't need the help, that year.) The goal, every year, should be the WCC and the top two places in the WDC. Holding one driver back to push the other forward is an end game tactic, not something you do the first half of the season. Just because they're paying Alonso more, doesn't mean he's going to out-run Massa. Just ask Kimi. But with the way the rules get flipped around, who knows: maybe Campos will have the winning car, this year.
