WTF!! So you buy this and then all ya need is to steal some dudes prized possession, (one of ours maybe). http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Original-title-for-Ferrari-355-Spider_W0QQitemZ130075902336QQihZ003QQcategoryZ36631QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem How can this be right? It even includes the section of the chassis that has the number stamped on it:( And its a UK cars ID as well being sold in Germany!!. Why is this allowed to happen on ebay, especially when there are so many rules regarding selling on there:( I cant see any other reason for selling this other than what i am suggesting. Or have i got it wrong??

MB: Heres a cut and paste, note the only bit to survive the socalled fire was the bit of chassis with the number on it:( So coupled with the blank service books that you can get on Ebay, your all set to go:(

you bid for a original Ferrari 355 Spider title with the framepiece for the VIN.

The car was red. The title is originally from England (the car was registered in England).

The car is burned (fried Ferrari), so only the famepeice with the Vin and the title are left.

This is not a joke but a great opprtunity for those who want's to own an original Ferrari 355 Spider ttile ore for those who modify their GTB or GTS into a Spider.

The cloners will love it. Say you've got a wrecked 355 that you've rebuilt. Well, if you have no ethics you apply the right numbers and then with possession of that title you can show a non-wrecked car on the title check (e.g. carfax, autocheck, etc.).

Same for unscrupulous people who lease a car in one country, then move it to another nation and stop paying on the lease...they can "clone" the VIN's and with that title they have a "different" car that can't be seized as there is no debt attached to that eBay "title."

Ditto for showing fewer miles on the car. Or as you point out for a stolen vehicle to appear as legit.

    Not cool.
