Can you sing? I know several of you collect guitars & have some priceless models in your showroom. But, can you play & sing? Do tell...

I'm no Eric Clapton on guitar
I'm no Sammy Hagar on vocals
I do play loud and scream. (actually my voice now just cracks alot!)
My Labradors used to howl with me if I got the feedback just right!

Used to play professionally long ago when I was younger, thinner and had hair!

I played guitar all through high school. I can sing like one octave but some of my friends sang really well. We used to hook up a mic & my Les Paul in the auditorium & let it rip. I played the common 70s stuff.

I have about 40 guitars......Vintage Fenders, Gibsons, Gretsch, Martin, Epiphone, Bigsby, Rickenbacker, etc...........

Guitar is my life.........Been playing for 35 years (since I was 8)........

The guitar that absolutely blows my mind every time I play it is my 1967 Strat.....
It's a refin, non-original pick-ups, refret, etc, but it plays perfect, sounds amazing
and simply is the best playing electric guitar I have ever played......

Attached is a pic of the old Ape playing the 67' at a Jam in L.A. earlier this year......Marc Ford is the guy behind me.....He's a GREAT player!

p.s. I can sing......Does anyone wanna hear me sing....I dunno?

Very Cool! Is the Bigsby in those pics? I LOVE Bigsby guitars, I would go nuts for an original.
I do have a re-issue that was built about 7 years ago by Gretsch....Me and my buddy both got one, he actually got two. That division went bust right outa the gate and they never even made it to production. I'll snap a pic and post it if you're interested in seeing it.
    Best,
    Ape

That Bigsby is the 2nd guitar I made. The first guitar was for Andy Gill of the Gang of Four.

I have made over 200 Bigsby style guitars. Paul Bigsby only made about 23. They are expensive to make and Paul did not designed them as production instruments. I think Gretsch tried but did n't get it quite right. I know Brian Setzer has one of the Gretsch models and I think Tom Petty may have one.

I have made a couple with single coils but most of the ones I have made have humbuckers in them.

WOW!! SO COOL!!!! I love em!

My buddy who has two of the Gretsch models is actually Mike Campbell of (TP and the HB's).....The one I have and the two he has are amazing guitars.....I heard that sme of them didn't come out so great, but we got to pick out of 10 guitars which one we wanted.
The good ones we're so obvious as you well know being a Luthier and player yourself.

I'll snap a pic once I get some coffee in my system......Oh yeah, have you heard of "Nash: guitars? They are what I wish Fender could have done with the Relic/Custom Shop Strats and Tele's......I bought one at Norman's Rare Guitars yesterday. It blows away anything Fender has made since the good o'l days.....I'll post a pic of hat as well.

Great to meet another Guitar man on here.......Best,Ape
