Pista S duct and stripes look correctly proportionate and IMO the overall look is more aggressive and in keeping with what Ferrari were seeking to achieve in providing a special version.

The F8 looks much more tame and subdued in this area and therefore needs to take that into consideration when tampering with stripes in this area.

Visually I by far prefer the Pista design and aggressive s duct - but of course looks are subjective and I respect that. What I don't respect is the tampering of a perfectly good design by plagiarizing a look which is clearly and visually in conflict with both core design, and the visual constraints of the area.

I agree with socal there is better ways to achieve striping the car rather than trying to squeeze wide stripes through a small holes just for the sake of plagiarizing an SV look which imho looks unnecessarily wankish. I think the only way you can bring a stripe through that small hole is by just having one thin stripe which leaves enough of a proportionate border either side. Failing that use the wide stripes and end them before the hole. These are the obvious limitations. And the piece at the back of the hood needs to be black or it just makes matters even worse.

  o_O ok, that's it. No sense in discussing what looks good with someone who thinks that! :D Go with the McDonald's theme. That looks best. :)

Stripe on the splitter looks like buck teeth. I can’t un-see it.

I agree... the yellow is too MacDonalds for me.

And yes 100% Pista stripes are painted. Up close you can see the masking imperfections.

    Now that looks beautiful.

I personally prefer the stripes on the F8. I know some Pista owners think that it is not cool, however I don’t understand how one Ferrari can have them versus another.... that is aside from a Portofino or similar.

On a red F8, I would go with twin black stripes.
And no stripes on front lip.
I believe the wheels on this car are Novitec NF9's. The wheel fitment is superb. Probably used Novitec lowering springs.

In this particular example it would be irrelevant anyways since the intake duct is black. One could also argue getting a black roof precludes any stripe addition..

Me thinks that label resulted from a reaction similar in some ways to an ink blot test... says more about the responders inner mental associations repertoire.

The car in the pic I posted is a spider. No black roof. I just thought the black stripes went well with a red F8. I think the black wheels also work well, ymmv.

His stripe is much narrower. This is the first good example that i have seen of what a full width stripe would look like on an F8... looks great. Also the hint of stripe on the s duct intake lip seems to solve the narrow duct dilemma. No need for the full width stripe in that area. Brilliant.

Posted my car with the stripes for those interested in doing likewise. Others' opinions filled with their negativity means absolutely nothing to me just as their ad neasuem rants about the F8.

My stripe is exactly the same width. Its width is determined by the bottom spacing of the entrance of the S- Duct.

About 3 inches narrower than the Pista (31 cm) hood stripe?
