OK, you know what I'm talking about......what could you say to a Frenchman to make him SO upset!?! What do you think? Wes
maybe but i really think it's taste like sh.. football player can act really stupid just look at all the fake diving during the world cup, that's why i prefer rugby and i already bought my tickets for next year world cup in france
From what i have read ( all net chatters ) , he was called a ****ing muslim terrorists . He's from Algeria .
Serious? I never knew that. Personally i think ZZ was rather reserved using the Glasgow kiss, I would have cracked his face had he called me that! OK well maybe i would have just paid someone else to do it and I'd just watch
From the FWIW files......... My wife was reading Globo.com yesterday (Brasilian news/TV organization) were they had an article stating that several deaf speech professionals lip read the replay of the seconds leading up to the head butt multiple times, and it was suggested that something along the lines of "your sister is a whore" were said.......LOL.......I am not making this up. It doesn't make what he did acceptable.......just even more stupid IMHO.
Whatever he said, I'm sure he'll get top dollar for the interview in which he reveals it, that's for sure. But, anyone got any FUNNY suggestions as to what he COULD have said?
Yes, I could see how he might take issue with the F word. I get a kick out of how, at the time, the announcers were all saying "This is totally unlike him" and then this morning I read elsewhere "This is TOTALLY like him", and they cite several examples from the past. Guess it depends on how good your memory is.
With 10 minutes left in his career, regardless of what was said I think he could have had handled himself with a bit more composure. He's had an amazing career, and to end it like that is a shame. Wow, i just checked, he won the golden ball award regardless. Well, he did deserve it after his long career.
Walk into a French cafe wearing a ski jacket, sweat pants and gym shoes, sit down, whistle loudly for the waiter, and say "Hey, Pal! I gotta joke for ya. How come the Champs Elysee is lined with trees?"
I agree with the above sentiments. ZZ should have accepted it as it happened, finished the match for his team and his country (who knows - France may have won with him on the park) and then reported the incident to the match officials when the game had ended, whereby an enquiry may have disclosed the true events and appropriate action then taken against the perpetrator.
