Wet but its for evening Saturday and Sunday morning. Cooler. https://darksky.net/forecast/43.585,39.7188/ca12/en I predict close racing - slight edge to Mercedes. Bottas has done well here in the past. Max doing well and Perez struggling again. He has taken back-step since restart of season post summer. Id like another Ricci win lol
Stroll was positive between Sochi and The Ring race last year. 11+ new cases after the race. Most not in the paddock - But Russia believe nothing you read or see LOL about COVID. Not reliable. To be honest Im amazed its not on the UK red list. Last year 30,000 fans were allowed in mask not required nor was social distancing. F1 going there is just about $$$$$$. They could drop this race and who would care?? Maybe Mazeespin.
It's a shame they build the track where they did in Sochi. In reality, Sochi is quite beautiful. They could've build a stunning race track in the surroundings that could rival the beauty of Spa even.

Max needs that. But not able with a 3 place penalty. Mclaren should be an interesting factor here. Perez needs to be much better placed for once. I have my doubts. This is a good place for Bottas. Will team orders enter again if he has a good weekend and loses a potential victory. A touch wet in the morning of race day. Seems like it might be a dry but cool race. Tires, tires!
I would go as far as to say it is the worst; dumb layout and sterile ambiance. It's basically Monza on Opposite Day.
I think I heard that that the Russian GP would move to another circuit in the coming years? To Igora Drive near St Petersburg.
I cannot stand this GP. Chain link fences everywhere... it looks like a giant prison complex. The races are typically uneventful as well. It's just not a fun circuit to watch or see. Next!
Let's hope it rains just enough to keep it slippery and interesting. Would be great if neither front runner makes it to the podium. Maybe Alpine, Ferrari, and McLaren in some sort of order.
