Well i'm only passing on what i read in a Korean track press statement a few weeks ago, and i don't see why they would lie about it, as if its not sold out, they would be wanting to sell the remaining tickets, so saying it is would be extremely counter-productive (there does seem to many tickets available on the European F1 ticket sites though, so it looks like the local Korean school kids could be in for a free F1 trip). The problem with the Shanghai race is that the circuit can hold more then 300'000 people, so an "average" F1 crowed of 80 to 90 thousand on race day is always going to make the place look empty. But the biggest problem is that the Chinese Gp ticket prices are far to high for the vast majority of the Chinese public to afford. Indy with its 400'000+ capacity shared the same "empty seat" problem, as in its later years it only attracted around 100'000 on race day, even with its $40 race day tickets. I think we really need to give these new hosting country's a fair chance, as many of the new F1 markets have been a great success, Malaysia and Singapore for example. If we are going to moan about a country that has no accountable fan base, and dose not deserve a race, it has to be Bahrain, as it dose not even have a big enough population, let alone local interest to have any growth !
