Simply suggested, what's up with the soft top wire breakage on both the 360 and F430 Ferrari Spyder ? I've owned my F430 for years. Because I live in Southern California, the top is seldom 'up'. During an unseasonable chilly evening, as I elevated the soft top, I noticed that the 'top' carriage was beginning to retract rather slowly. I quickly realized a bit of 'trouble shooting' was in the near future. Upon investigation, I was surprised to find that BOTH inside tract wires were broken .. both sides requiring expensive repairs.

My question for the experts is; is there any way NOT to damage the inside tract wires .. thereby enjoying in one less expense ?

I've never experienced any type of malfunctions on my 360 Spider, but I make it a point to exercise the top's mechanism at least two times per month and lubricate all the pivoting joints meticulously.
