Is there a list of the models Maserati sold in the US since, say, 1970 along with, ideally, the number imported?

This is the book to start with: "Maserati: The Grand Prix, Sports and GT cars model by model, 1926-2003" by Maurizio Tabucchi. It has a good, general history of each model and also production numbers and stats on each car.

I have the book at home and will try to post some production numbers up for the 1970s cars later this evening.

The overall production numbers are published in a number of different sources, however while close they are not always exact. The problem is finding the number of each model imported to the US.

Regarding Khamsins the number for the US (with a handful being sold by Bob Grossman to Canada) is 155 cars, exactly 100 of which were 5 speed and 55 automatic. At least one US spec new car was sold directly from the factory to Sweden.

Source: ermanno Cozza the factory historian.

A good third of US 5 speed Khamsins are back in Europe.

The Tabucchi book you mention Michael is a good general book but has a couple of errors in the yearly production counts.

    best regards,

    Marc
