Solenoid ticking noise

I never experienced this noise in my 14 Spider that you’re hearing.

Dealer should PROVE what they say ...

I never have had any such a sound / noice ... so beware !

I have a ticking in my 2015 Coupe which sounds similar to the ticking from the direct injection sound also in my current MB. It resolves as rpms go higher. Not at all concerned as initially had it checked at 2 different dealerships.

 

Perhaps I'm hard of hearing (as my wife says from time to time), but I've never heard any ticking sound from my 2014 458 Spider (13K+ miles).

I have it too am told by dealer it’s the oil valve solenoid and that it’s not supposed to tick like that but not something requires replacing unless loud. The ticking is now more subtle but can still hear at idle roof down.

Def not normal but not requiring repair. It is covered by new power warranty

Contradixio imo: it's not normal but ....

Get it replaced a.s.a.p. imo under the power warranty !
