You hear a lot of talk these days that current groups are "one hit wonders" and their albums, for lack of a better word, suck.

What albums do you think are SOLID albums that not only have great radio play songs, but other tracks as well that you think others are missing out on.

    I'll go first:
    SAGA - Worlds Apart.
Not only radio hits, but some spacy long play stuff as well. Very enjoyable.

Van Halen..the first album they did in 1978. Nothing can touch that album for straight ahead rock songs and guitar work. Eddie had that sound nobody has been able to duplicate..not even himself!! Came out of a hotrodded Marshall amp or somthing along those lines.

I'm getting to be an jaded old fart, I guess. To me, really the only current mainstream rock band that I find interesting is Tool. Korn is also pretty unique, but is missing the depth of Tool. Most everyone else is merely an industry produced formula based on stuff that has sold well in the past.

Tool's Aenima is one of the best Rock albums of the last 20 years.

Most of the great Rock happened in the 60's and 70's. After that, you have to look at the punk and independent label bands for true jewels.

    Who Made Who, AC/DC

the downward spiral, nine inch nails

    Nevermind, Nirvana

    Ten, Pearl Jam

The Wall, Pink Floyd (when I hear one song from it on the radio, I always can't wait to hear the next one then I remember it is not the CD. All of the songs are linked together and listening to one is like reading just one chapter in a book. Only album I know well that is that way)

Agree. Can't stand much of anything today. Haven't bought a CD in years and not because of digital downloading, there just isn't ANYTHING out there that does anything for me.

I was really skeptical before hearing this album. A friend convinced me to give it a couple of listens. I love the album now.

There has been no Rock n' Roll since the early sixties....what you folks call Rock is not, it is something that may have evolved from Rock but it something else. Little Richard, Big Joe Turner, Wynonie Harris, Eddie Cochran, Elvis, Carl Perkins, Buddy Holly et al of that era that was Rock n' Roll...anything since is something else.

Those 3 all have different sounds. Korn is heavy metal sounds sort of, more new age metal if you will. Stone Temple Pilots(STP) is heavy in some albums, lighter in others. I recommend checking them out. Weezer, can't really describe them. I'm not a fan.
