    Hi all:

The nut on the 90 degree fitting has broken on my 355 hose which runs from the oil tank to the lower cooler (part no 145041). I've come to find these parts are extremely difficult to find at a reasonable price. Ferrparts is asking $2k for a USED one. Insanity. Maranello has one on the way, but it will be $1300 and not available until September.

For reference - here's what the part looks like (the nut slides down to the end of the fitting):

The hoses are at the rebuilder, who cannot locate a suitable fitting for this. Does anyone know of a source for it?

Alternatively, it looks like the 348 has the same fitting on part number 14182 that could possibly be used if it is the same diameter and thread pitch: Image Unavailable, Please Login

These hoses are relatively inexpensive used, but does anyone know whether this fitting will work on the 355 and or a source for a compatible fitting? Thank you.

    Todd

Answered my own question. The 90 degree fitting will work, it is the same pitch and diameter.

What are the nut dimensions (such as M30 x 1.5mm) __and__ what is the inner diameter of the hose (this will further determine the fitting)

I have recently found several potential sources, let me know about the above two (dimension and inner diameter) and I'll see if it matches any of my sources.

    if M30 1.5, here's a 90 to review:

But those are aluminum...rather than carbon steel and if the hose Inner Diameter is 7/8" (22m) then you have compromise since there pretty much is no such thing as AN -14 sized fittings, a lot of changes, but you would probably go up to AN -16 (1inch) (would not recommend going down in size) and use the Pegasus adapter back to M30 1.5mm to mate up at either end of the hose....

And, if your other end is a union then Pegasus doesn't have that part, you may need something like this:

Yep, I would use the AN16. I did have one of the lines built by a hydraulic shop and it works fine (and was fairly cheap) but it was a bit of a PITA. Converting to AN16 would allow you to replace them with parts from pretty much any speed shop.

These are M26 nuts, so unfortunately, the M30 won't work. They are m26 1.5 pitch.

The larger hose from the engine block to the oil tank is m30, but it doesn't have a 90-degree fitting.

Pity. I've got a set of the larger fitting going spare, but not the smaller ones.
