i dont have the dash leather issue, but my right side door sill leather on my all leather OTO (no carpets in my car) are un-glueing itself and making it shrink.
Theres a bulge between the sill and the right seat, not noticeable but definitely noticeable by me.

somewhat related note, the 430/599/612 era ferraris have much worse build quality and materials than cali/458 era ones, both mechanically and cosmetically.
my 599 and 612 deteriorates just sitting in good storage, my GTO is a little better with its carbon and alcantara, no leather is a good thing here, scud is better too. But hard daily use in a 458 for 5 years still looks new, just watch where ur key and nail goes with the plastic, and its not gonna melt itself.

my 488 is a lexus, no error messages no matter how long its parked, always start, no hiccups, runs like a lexus or tesla, maybe better, fast as hell when u stomp it, and generally feels like a luxury brand car all of the time, even goes smoother & tracks better than amg 63 ones. The stereo blue tooth works great, the window bonnet closes with a nice luxury car thud. the door handle pulls and releases nicely, try that in a 430 or an old 458.

all in all, ferrari is as good or better build than anything out there now, its not just a flashy car with poor build quality anymore.
some say the 488 has less soul because the lack of these issues, but i say its great progress, but i would just do special versions of these new fcars if u like them raw.

i heard u cant keep a TDF in a straight line with the traction control off, now thats great fun!

I havent had any of those issues you talk about on my 612, but for sure that whole cheap, sticky rubber/plastic is beyond ridiculous. $300K cars should not have that kind of pervasive problem! The california T, etc. newer models finally got that right!

It definitely feels like Ferrari made a massive jump in quality from the 430/599 era into the 458/F12 age (and beyond into its current lineup). The BRAND new cars really do take the fit and finish to a new level. Ferrari is getting very good at blurring the lines between race car and luxury car.

That being said, the 6 speed 612 is still one of my favorite Fezza's ever :)
