    I few of us are having what may be the same problem and I was wondering if anyone else has as well. It's and intermitent problem whereas the check engine 1-4 light comes on accompanied by some back-firing and overall bad running. All the basics have been covered from new gas to checking the injectors, fuel filters/pumps. I tried the manual diagnostic check and nothing came up, which I thought was odd. I am considering sending the car the Ferrari of Washington but wanted to cover all the easy/cheap stuff first. Thanks guys...

    Does "manual diagnostic check" means checked for error codes in the ecu by counting flashing MIL lights and no code stored? Hmmm.

    Standard procedure for needles in haystacks is continuity/resistance check of the wiring with a breakout box. That said, I'd do the somewhat easy but time consuming ground and connector cleanup first. Include the lambda sensors in the gound and terminal cleanup.

    Then visual of the thermocouple ecu by the rear shock towers.

    Thanks Rob. Yes I did the count the blinking lights routine. I'll check as many electric connections as I can find and hit the threads as well. I've only done oil changes so if I have some questions, I'll get them to you. Thanks again...
