Does anybody have some idea about some 6 pot caliper and 380 mm discs for F430 (not carbon)?? I have normal brakes on my F 430 but I am not very pleased with it.

May I ask you a question?

What is it about the regular brakes you are not too pleased with? Stopping distance? The way they feel? Etc..?

    Thanks,

The regular brakes are good up to 150 km/h but after that I don¨t liked, to week for the car like that (I have Porsche GT3 and 996 Carrera 4S both with 6 pot calipers and 350 mm discs and it is much better).
And the look of this discs on 430??!!!!!!!!! This discs in 19 inch wheels are to small.

I understand. As I have owned several different Porsches. Yes Porsche brakes are very good.

Is there a reason why you did not get the carbo brakes on your F430 other than the cost of the option?

Have you had carbon brakes on your Porsches?

    Thanks,

Brembo offers a big brake kit for the F430. It is a 6 piston caliper on a 380mm 2 piece rotor. They only offer a front kit and it is $4,295. Please contact us to order.

Brembo is coming out with a new line of perforamance calipers, including a 6 piston. I don't know when they will release an application for the F430 but you can call the master distributor www.racetechnologies.com

Alternatively you could try a more aggresive pad for the time being with Brembo's two piece aluminum hat and rotor combo. They're six pounds lighter per rotor. The full set cost about $3400 the first time which includes the hats, but after that you only need to buy replacement rotors with are about 1/3 the price of stock F430 OEM rotors. The two peice replacement rotors are available now.

I would not use a 380mm rotor, you don't need that much brake torque and those rotors will probably weight more than stock. Do not install a any brake upgrade kit from ANY company without checking the math and making sure the brake torque increase is with in the range of the EBD. You'll more than likely need to install an front an rear upgrae. To give you an idea of what the math looks like...you can see the spread sheet I had to do for my BMW applications in this link. http://www.brouwersusa.com/Master E46 M3 BBK Chart.xls
