One of my friend's from the BMW board got press access to the D.C. autoshow; these pictures are unbelievable!! For the camera buffs out there, his equiptment was a Canon 1D MARK II with a 2.8L lens. Enjoy!!!

Those photos are outstanding. I've tried to capture show pix like that for years, but the indoor light always seems to confuse my camera. Show lighting seems to pose a big challenge. Kudos to the photog!

Gallardo Spider, M6 and Z06 seem to be the only truly new cars there. Do I see a Murcie in the new Grigio Proteus color? Ferrari showing is weak... but NYIAS should be killer as we might get to see the 599 GTB once it debuts in Geneva next month. Also hoping to see the FXX in NYC too.

focus... in low light most camera have problems to focus... there are couple ways to help that issue - i.e. preflash or displaying a grid... afaik minolta has preflash (at least newer models - not sure if yours) but it doesn't help too much. My A1 focus is slow and doesn't always set up correctly but to make it work better I switch it to center focus instead of field. This way camera doesn't "look around".

BTW: I'm selling out most of my digital/analog Minolta equip. PM me if you're interested.
