Those anglerfish can grow to several thousand pounds(3-4000lbs)!

The way they catch prey is interesting as well.

Maybe some types of anglerfish, but not these gals. Or are you just trying to scare people? If you are, you're doing a good job.

    *snicker* ;)

    Humpback anglerfish
    Melanocetus johnsoni
Max. size: 2.9 cm TL (male); 18.0 cm TL (female)
    Males dwarfed and non-parasitic.
As with humans, the females are the vicious ones.

Anyhoo... check out this dragonfish (this one's 2" long - bye-bye finger!)

Then, when checking the next pic out, and comparing fish and man, ask yourself, "Separated at Birth?" They could be cousins.

Actually , i heard the males have no digestive system, they implant on a female and meld into her body and draw nutrients that way, Scientist thought these were tumors prior to dicovering that they were indeed the male.

I was watching discovery channel a few days ago. There was this fish that has a built in fishpole. It was really cool. He would stick it out anf fish would come to it to eat it and before you know it they are being eaten. It was really cool.

3rd one looks like a small shovelnose shark (I think thats what they called it) the fourth are lampreys of some type (parasites) and the 2nd one I forget the name of, but it lives in the extreme deep. The first is what I would want to learn more about, by its shape you woul think it would be a pelagic species, meant for a longer speed burst then short ambush as with a bluefish, red drum, striped bass etc, meant for more maneuverability with their body and tail type.
