In an effort to stay away from stores of all kinds today, I took my kids to the Antique Auto Mall at Mockingbird and Cedar Springs this afternoon. I haven't been there in a while and there were some new toys. There was an Abarth 695 Race car for sale for $12.5k. It was just a little bigger than a go kart. Pretty cool toy. There were 2 or 3 old Fiat 500's, one of them a convertible. The first Ferrari I've ever seen there was a dark blue 400i for sale for about $32k. It was a little rough, and overpriced, but cool just the same. The car I would've come home with was a '62 Tbird Convertible with a roadster kit. I've always loved the early 60's birds, and this was one of the cleanest I've ever seen. Off white over medium blue. Can be in my garage today for $27k. It was a great way to kill an hour, and my wife got to wander around and look at the other 'antiques'. Fun for the whole family! :)

It's on the SE corner of Mockingbird and Cedar Springs, just as you're leaving Love Field.

Jim...Every time I land at Love Field, I always have wondered about that place. Never bothered to go in it.

P.S. I will be interested to hear your thoughts on my "locksmith" post.

Hey Jim, I guess that was you at Sigel's afterwards picking up a little juice? We went to the same auto mall yesterday and I thought it was you in Sigel's. My brother, his girlfriend, and I went around and hit all the local calssic car and Harley shops yesterday. A lot better than going to the mall.

Actually yes, that WAS me at Sigels afterwards. Are you following me again?

You should've said hello! What did you think of that white Tbird?

I thought it was you, but just wasn't sure. Next time....

I liked that T-bird. When are you going to pick it up? ;) Actually, that little Abarth race car was pretty cool.

That place is kind of interesting, I go there on my lunch hour once-in-awhile. It's close to my office.
